Finalize design

If the client requests just simple, minor suggestions, it is now time for the web designer to integrate these ideas into the layout. The designer may also change some elements of the site based on what the client likes about the prototype layout. After this process, the web development phase begins.

Integrate client's recommendations

There are times when a client requests changes to the prototype layout before it is actually implemented. These recommendations may be about the kind of fonts used, the colour scheme, or even the general appearance of the site itself. In relatively rare cases where the client totally rejects the prototype layout, the web designer will go back to step two and restart the whole process.

Make layout available for client viewing

The prototype layout will now be sent to the client, usually in the form of a graphic file snapshot (JPEG, PNG, etc). However, some expert developers actually allow a client to visit the site as it is being made. This is done by uploading all updates into a temporary web address, which allows the client to view the work in progress in real time.

Create prototype layout

After deciding the general style to be adopted, a web designer will then create a preliminary draft of the website template. This is a very rough sketch and is merely meant as a general guide for the whole web development/web design team, as well as to give the client an idea of what to expect.

The end-user is the primary consideration for any web designer. In this stage, a web designer, with the help of the client, works out the most appropriate and appealing motif for the site.
